I grew up in the south of England near Heathrow airport. My parents were in the airline business. The Comet was the world's first passenger airliner and my Mum was its' first stewardess. She has some great stories and enjoyed her "15 minutes of fame" in the early 1950s. My father flew during the war (more great stories) and afterward, for BOAC (anybody remembers what B.O.A.C stood for? The airline is now called British Airways), My Father's international travels gave our family the opportunity to enjoyably live for short periods in Hawaii, Hong Kong and Australia. After graduation as a bilingual secretary in England, I then worked in the Frankfurt Germany area for a year. In 1976 my international travels brought me to the U.S. I flew internationally as a flight attendant for ten years and again loved meeting and helping people. Then, as a Mother of two young children my keen interest in working with people while still living in a good home and good community led me into pursuing residential real estate as a professional career.
For the last twenty seven years, I have lived and worked as a Realtor specializing in the Valencia area. Having helped buyers and sellers of homes over the years has allowed me to gain considerable knowledge of various tracts, the repair histories of certain home models, the good and bad aspects of schools and the neighborhoods. I have experienced awards from my company, however, I get the most joy when a client is helped with the service, information and advice I was able to provide them.
In a flash back to my love of aviation and a new love I married Bill Wolf in 2006. Bill also has an international background and is still involved with airlines (EuropebyAir) so we 'naturally' flew into the local Agua Dulce airport to join our friends for the ceremony. With both of us having grown families and no more 'kids, cats or dogs' to worry about we are happily married and continue to live in Santa Clarita.
Here's the latest on the business front.....like anyone in the same business we realtors take for granted that the words we use are understood by people not in our business. I am therefore starting a new Do Ask, Do Tell link on my website for you to ASK anything. I, in turn, will TELL you the answers as best I can. I'll also include any trends or developments that might be of interest to you.
And here's the latest on the personal front.....Bill and I were invited by Brett Godfrey, CEO of Virgin Blue and V-Australia to a party recently in Hollywood where Sir Richard Branson announced that Virgin will start scheduled service from Australia to Los Angeles, Being a Brit I was thrilled to meet Sir Richard personally. His Mom, like mine, was also a Comet stewardess. Brett and Bill are best of friends having worked together at Virgin Express and Virgin Blue.
